Chinese Five-Spice Blend (Pae-Lo Powder)

The Flavors in Five-Spice Blend reflect the influence of Chinese cuisine, dated back more than fity years ago. This dish should be cooked in advance and left to marinate, giving a richer flavor to the meats

Recipe: Chicken Wings in Five-Spice Blend

1. Prepare 1 lb chicken wings, Sprinkle 1 tbsp. Chinese Five-Spice Blend over chicken wings and knead gently. Hard-boil 5 eggs. Cut 1 piece of tofu into 1 inch cubes and mince 1 teaspoon garlic.



2. Brown the garlic with 1 tbsp. vegetable oil. Stir-fry chicken wings, turning a few things. Add 3 tbsp. sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tbsp. light soy sauce and 2 teaspoon black soy sauce.



3. When chicken wings are cooked, place in a pot. Add 3 cups water, eggs, and tofu. Cover and simmer 1 hour.

Garnish with coriander leave before serving.
